I awake to see that no one is free

Coldplay and herbal tea are very good for the soul-sucking. Deep down inside somewhere, I’m super-duper stressed about work … but with Chris Martin in my ears, I can’t be too too worried.

(Mmmm, and that prayer stuff helps too.)

  1. I know exactly what you mean, except that I’m not sure I’ve worked out the formula for myself yet. Joni Mitchell and tea? Keene and coffee? Dave and a beer? Maybe all three, in quick succession.

(Agree about talking to God. But dang if it’s been a long time.)

  2. I think “all three in quick succession” sounds like a good answer right now. Whenever Keane comes on lately, I am a very happy girl.

  3. Oh but Coldplay… I cringe when I hear them now. That likely comes from being trapped in an overloaded mini van driving from South Dakota to northern Michigan coming back from New Staff Training, being subjected to hours on end of Coldplay and other crappy music. I once was a possible fan of Coldplay, but now even when I hear one of the few songs I once enjoyed, I feel like I need to bash my head in. Maybe that’s why you like to listen to them as an escape… ;o)
